For generations, First Baptist Church has stood faithful in proclaiming the power of the Gospel to transform and save.
First Baptist Church is a gospel-centered, Bible-believing church serving the Keyport community and surrounding areas in Monmouth County, New Jersey, since 1840. For nearly two centuries, we have remained steadfast in the truth of God’s Word, relying on it as the final authority on all matters of faith and life.
Just a short walk from the Raritan Bay waterfront, where our historic steeple has long stood as the town’s landmark, you’ll find a church committed to God, Scripture, and one another in the joys and challenges of life. Whether you are a new believer, a mature follower of Christ, or hearing about the hope of the gospel for the first time, we invite you to join us.

Holding Forth the Word of Life
“Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.” - Philippians 2:16
Explore sermons from First Baptist Church. As we faithfully study God’s Word, we are seeking to understand what the Bible says, what it means, and how we should live in response. Stream services live on YouTube every Sunday morning or listen to past sermons anytime.
Are you searching for hope? The Bible has good news.
The Bible gives us both the problem and the answer: the problem is that we are separated from God by sin, but God has made a way of salvation through Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, forgiveness and new life are offered as a free gift of grace to all who repent and believe.
If you’d like to know more about this good news, join us for Sunday worship, come to weekday prayer, or reach out to our pastor here.
